How Corner Collectibles handles personal information: the newsletter, what this site collects, and who else sees it.

Corner Collectibles sells comics, vintage toys, model trains, vinyl and nostalgia from a stall inside the Trails End Farmers Market in Thorndale, Ontario. This page explains what happens to personal information on cornercollectibles.ca.
What we collect
- When you sign up for the newsletter. Your name and your email address. The signup form is served by Mailjet (opens in a new tab), who run our mailing list — the form itself is loaded from them, so opening a page that has one tells Mailjet you did, before you type anything. You will get an email asking you to confirm before anything is sent, and every issue has an unsubscribe link. Nothing is added to any list until you click the link in that confirmation email.
- When you contact us. If you call (226) 980-7987 or email info@collectorshows.ca — about a wish list, a valuation, or a collection you want to sell — we keep what you send so that we can answer.
- When you visit this site. Nothing, by us. There is no analytics on this site and no advertising.
The map on the Visit Us page
The Visit Us page embeds a Google map so you can see where the market is. That map is loaded from Google, which means that when you open that page — and only that page — Google is told you did, and can set its own cookies in your browser. If you would rather not, the address is written out beside the map in plain text, and every other page on this site contacts nobody.
Like every web server, ours records the address of each request, the browser making it and the time. Those logs keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
We use your email address to send you the newsletter you asked for, and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it.
Who else sees it
Only the services that run the site and the mailing list: our web host, Mailjet for the signup form and the newsletter itself, and Google — but Google only for people who open the Visit Us page, and only because the map is theirs. Some of them store information outside Canada, where the laws of that country apply.
How long we keep it
Your newsletter subscription lasts until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link in any issue. Messages you send us are kept as long as they are useful, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@collectorshows.ca and we will answer. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (opens in a new tab).
